Expressive

Around 16 years ago (as of publishing this piece) I created "Expressive": This was a combination of my early photography plus micro-level digital painting, and the model was a close friend of mine from college.

At the time I was shooting with an 8 MP camera, so image quality was fairly limited. I sold prints of the piece for a while, but eventually stopped when I left my prior shop provider, and lost the original artwork for this piece.

Recent upscaling tools have increased in quality enough that I felt comfortable taking the older web-ready image and upscaling it while repainting certain details of Angie (the model), such as her face and the shadow, which didn't recover as well given the microscopic size relative to the image.
